Aziza Gorgi graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Tunis in 2013.
In 2019, she undertook further studies at the Sidi Kacem Eljalizi
Centre. In 2024, she was an artist-in-residence at the Centre for Living
Arts in Radès.
Her work explores design, aesthetics and taste in the built environ-
ment. She creates sculptures, prints, tiles and choreography. She also
explores popular culture and the intersection of modernity, colonialism,
and tradition within local contexts. Through performances and installa-
tions, she explores new forms of familiarity.
She is currently collaborating with Emily Sarsam on the 'Shaping
Narratives' project, and they recently performed at the Perreficreico
Festival in Modena, Italy, in October 2025. In 2024, they presented a
show at the Beursschouwburg in Brussels. They also performed at
CRAC Le 19 in Montbéliard, France and with Atterra Terra in Palermo.
In 2023, she presented her 'Everything is Decoration' project at
Archive Books and SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin.
Alongside her individual artistic practice, she produces work with the
research collective BROUDOU, which explores Tunisia’s food futures
through various creative media.
